 Amisha Patel

Born on 19th June 1979, Amisha Patel is one of Bollywood’s top actresses, performing in title roles in hit films, such as Gadar and Humraaz.

After completing her schooling at Cathedral School in Mumbai, Amisha studied Economics at Tufts University in Boston, USA. She joined a financial company, but realized that she wanted a career in acting. She joined Satyadev Dubey's theatre group and started acting in plays.

In 2000, her father’s school friend, the director Rakesh Roshan, cast Amisha in her film debut Kaho Naa Pyar Hai. She made a indelible impression on the film industry and has made a string of Bollywood hits since. In 2005, she acted in the historical drama, The Rising, with her childhood hero Aamir Khan.
