Anando Heffley

Anando Heffley was born in Melbourne, Australia. She is the founder of the international personal discovery organization, Lifetrainings, which is devoted to helping people realise their hidden potential and resources. Its courses show people how to bring more awareness into their lives, and how to start enjoying life to its fullest.

Anando started her professional career as an actress at the age of 12 and later she studied modern dance at the Martha Graham’s London School of Contemporary Dance.

With a complete change in career, she studied law in Australia and was admitted to practice as an attorney in both Australia and the USA. In the early seventies, she joined UK publishers, Haymarket, where she became assistant publisher of Management Today, Marketing and Accountancy Age. However, in 1975 she decided that there really must be more to life than this, and left to explore an entirely different world.

Inevitably, her travels led her to India, where she studied the ancient art of meditation together with cutting edge psychotherapy. This was the beginning of an adventure of almost 30 years living and learning in India with the innovative mystical teacher, Osho. In 1986 she became Osho’s personal secretary. She was profoundly touched and inspired by this experience, and it has helped her to create her unique and heartfelt approach of working with people.

Now based in Europe, she travels around the world teaching and lecturing. Her CD, Talking to the Body, a technique for connecting deeply and powerfully with the body, has just been published by St Martins Press, New York.
