Carole Stone

Carole Stone was born on May 30th, 1942, and has had an extensive career in the media. She was for twenty-seven years with the BBC and for over a decade was Producer of the flagship current affairs Radio 4 programme, Any Questions?.

In 1990 Carole left the BBC to work as a freelance reporter and producer in both television and radio. She has chaired a consortium bidding for a national radio licence and now runs her own media consultancy - bringing together people from the media, business and politics to discuss issues of common interest. Known as 'the queen of networking' Carole's has published two books: Networking - the art of making friends, and The Ultimate Guide to Successful Networking.

A former President of The Media Society, Carole is on the Committee of Women in Journalism and on the Board of the London Press Club. She is also a Trustee of The Wallace Collection, a patron of two mental health charities, and a partner in the London debating forum Intelligence Squared.

Carole works from her flat in Covent Garden, London and is married to the television journalist Richard Lindley.
