Lena Choudary is the head of the Asia region for Tearfund, UK, where she manages international strategy in twelve countries.

Graduating from Bangalore University with a BSc in Child Development, and MSc in Nutrition from SV University, Lena pursued further postgraduate studies at Reading University. There she obtained an MSc in Agriculture Extension & Development and an MPhil in Social Development.

Prior to working with Tearfund, she was Asia Regional Manager for WaterAid, UK, Programme Advisor for the South Asia region at International Planned Parenthood Federation, and Director of the Confederation of Indian Organisations.

Lena is also a trustee at the Centre for Innovation in Voluntary Action, an honorary executive director at the European Multicultural Foundation and a management committee member at Christian Aid’s Asia Pacific Committee.
