Maharani Bibhu Kumari Devi of Tripura

The Maharani Bibhu Kumari Devi of Tripura was born in Moussurri on the 28th June 1944. After graduating in History and political science she went on to enjoy a high profile and successful career in politics, representing her state as Minister of Revenue.

Her husband, Kirtibikram Kishore Dev Bouman Manikaya Bahadur, was the last recognised ruler of Tripura and was made King at the age of 13. They have two daughters and a son and reside between their palace in Kolkata and their palace in Tripura.

Tripura is located in the north eastern part of India. It is bounded on the north, west, south and south-east by Bangladesh whereas in the east it has a common boundary with Assam and Mizoram.
