| Patricia Daver is a qualified beauty therapist and aestheticienne
who specialises in skin camouflage. She works both from home and at her
local NHS hospital, treating patients suffering disfigurement from cancer
and vitiligo to burns and scars.
These conditions know no bounds of race or colour of skin and each has
an unique emotional impact on the lives of every individual. The pressures
are particularly intense on younger people who are subjected daily to
media and advertising strictures that physical unblemished beauty brings
success .
Patricia gets great satisfaction from empowering patients by teaching
them how and what camouflage to apply so that they can do this effectively
and independently on a permanent basis. If she is successful life can become
more bearable to the wearer who is then in a better position to cope with
their disfigurement.
Patricia is a New Yorker who moved to London thirty five years ago to
marry Berjis, who himself came to England from Mumbai India and subsequently
carved out a successful business career. They have two children.
She studied for her diploma at the age of forty and was able to lay the
foundations of a satisfying and rewarding occupation and at the same time
finish the task of raising her children.
Patricia’s interests include reading, singing in her local choir
Harrow Harmony, playing bridge and keeping herself fit at her club.
