Rita Chudasama

Daughter, wife, mother and busy career woman, Rita Chudasama embodies all that the Modern Asian Woman aspires for. Born in Leicester, Rita grew up in a traditional Asian household where women were once expected to stay at home and look after their family. Rita read Business Administration at the University of London where she received her MBA . She went onto become HR Manager for Mondial Assistance and then later joined the Asset Management Banking Industry where she now works for MG Capital Plc.

Rita Chudasama is the Sathya Sai National Interfaith Co-ordintor for the Sri Sathya Sai Service Organisation (UK). The Sathya Sai National Interfaith Forum for United Kingdom exists to encourage a dialogue and trust between the different faiths, and also work to build good relations between the different religious communities in United Kingdom at both national and local levels. It works with the Sri Sathya Sai Service Organisation to help make this a country marked by mutual understanding and respect between religions where all can practise their faith with integrity.

These Interfaith events have been specially created to go beyond neighbourhoods, cultures, religions, and ideological boundaries. The Sathya Sai Interfaith Forums are developed so that they appeal to one’s inner self; it is a way of connecting oneself with a deeper source of existence. Through these special quarterly events, it is hoped that we encourage each person to expand their definition of who we are as members of one community.

In 2004, Rita was awarded the “Ambassador for Peace” award from the Interreligious and International Federation for World Peace, which is linked to the United Nations. Rita has also lectured at religious fora on these subjects. Her primary thesis lies in religious harmony and the tolerance among the people of different faiths.
